The Shot Nurse Immunization and Wellness Service was started in 1994 by Kimberly Cole Gray, RN, BSN who saw the need for providing immunization and wellness services to people at their places of business. Due to an overwhelming response to the immunization service, population growth, and the addition of several new popular services, The Shot Nurse now serves hundreds of businesses, churches, schools and individuals for all of their immunization & wellness needs. Because of superior service, the expertise of our nurse immunization specialists and the volume of vaccinations given annually, The Shot Nurse is now the #1 provider of vaccination services in the Mid-South.
Our management team of talented professionals includes Deborah Overall, RN who, in 2002, became Director of the two office locations in Memphis, TN. Laurie Rich, RN, is the Office Manager of the Cordova branch, working alongside Michelle McGuire, RMA, at the Poplar Avenue location.
Our goal is to provide nursing services to companies that do not require or have the resources to employ a full-time nurse. We also proudly serve civic groups, schools, colleges, travel agencies, government agencies and churches. These services include immunizations, wellness programs, blood testing, monthly Vitamin B12 shots, Tb skin testing and on-site drug screenings with instant results.

Dr. Joe Holley is the medical director for The Shot Nurse Immunization & Wellness Service. He lends his medical expertise and direction to the services provided by our staff. He is also currently the medical director for Baptist Hospital's Emergency Department in Collierville, TN and has his own company, Emergency Medical Resources. We are most proud of him for being the Medical Director of Tennessee Task Force One. TN Task Force One is one of the many FEMA teams sent to the Pentagon to perform search & rescue during the tragedy of 9/11. His team also served at the 2002 Olympics in Utah.

The ZOSTAVAX (SHINGLES VACCINE) is now available in our office. We accept most Medicare part D plans for Zostavax.

Travel Vaccines
Travel vaccines are in high demand during spring and summer as mission groups, vacationing families, research teams, student groups and individuals plan travel outside of the United States. Due to limited supplies of some vaccines, all of our clients are encouraged to immediately notify our office of anticipated immunization needs.
Meningitis Update
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommend that ALL children ages 11-18 and ALL college freshmen should receive MENACTRA, the new meningitis/meningococcal vaccine! Click here for more information.
